Carpools: Please let us know if you are driving and can offer rides or might be able to stop and pick others up at nearby airports or bus/train stations. Contact: email@example.com or (800) 269‒7464
If you fly, the Asheville airport is the most convenient although can be more expensive. From the Asheville Airport you can take the city bus to Pritchard Park and get picked up there. Cost approx: $1.
If the flight cost to Asheville is prohibitive, the Greenville, S.C, airport is the next closest, and shuttles will be arranged on Friday and Sunday or Monday for pick ups and drop offs. You may have to wait for a group to gather.
Important: Call NWTRCC in advance to see if others are flying near the times you arrive or depart. Charlotte, N.C., is cheaper but farther. Call in advance if it is your only option, and we will try to figure out carpools.
The Greyhound bus station is very convenient for pickups and returns.
Amtrak to Greenville, S.C., from some locations is convenient; for others connections may be problematic, but check it out. We will help with shuttles from Greenville.
Housing: In homes of local hosts. Please register as early as possible if you need housing to facilitate arrangements.
Meals: All meals are at the meeting place, with simple, vegetarian menus. Everyone will be asked to share in preparation or cleanup.
Cost: We ask $15 registration fee in advance for those who can afford it to cover food and facility costs, and we may need to ask for additional donations. But, no one is turned away for lack of funds! Those who come for part of the weekend are asked to make a contribution in advance or on site.
More information from NWTRCC, firstname.lastname@example.org or (800) 269‒7464.
