What Are You Doing on Tax Day?
Wednesday, April 15, 2015

milwaukee tax day 14Please use the online form (or email/call the office) to let us know what you, your group, or anyone in your area is planning for Tax Day. Tax Day Survey 2015

Let us know by March 20 to be listed in the next newsletter and press release. The press release has circulated widely in the past few years, so having lots of actions listed is really important! But send your info anytime until 5 pm April 14 to be listed on our website

Remember to send photos (like Milwaukee folks do - left) from any of your WTR events and tax day actions for the newsletter and the website. Black and white, color, digital or prints – all are welcome. This not only helps other groups see what you're doing, but is also a great way to keep track of our history as a movement. Please plan ahead for someone to take photos at your activities. Email them to the office at or mail them to the address below.

Brochures, downloadable flyers, pamphlets, buttons — see all the NWTRCC resources here. Order online or by mail.

The Pie Chart, "Where Your Income Tax Money Really Goes," should be available by late February. Orders up to 200 for 10¢ each from NWTRCC. For larger orders please contact WRL directly by email or phone (212-228-0450).

Among the other groups with useful resources are:

National Priorities Project

National Campaign for a Peace Tax Fund

Friends Committee on National Legislation

Global Day of Action on Military Spending

The AdComm oversees the work of NWTRCC, plans the Coordinating Committee meetings, and helps with projects during the year. Full members are asked to attend 2 meetings a year, and everyone participates in 2 conference calls between meetings.
Current members are Elizabeth Boardman* (CA), Ari Rosenberg* (PA), Jason Rawn (ME), and alternates Cathy Deppe (CA), Rachel Soltis (AZ). One full member has not participated and will be replaced at this meeting also. * Terms end after the May meeting

Deadline: March 16, 2015

Please contact the office for more information, or send in nominations and we will follow up with further details. Affiliate groups should make a special effort to offer nominations.

Your help needed to seek Organizational Endorsers!

We’ve done a lousy job of collecting any Organizational Endorsements since a proposal to do this passed more than a year ago as a way to widen our connections and outreach. Are you willing to approach any groups in your area or among your contacts? Local, regional, national, and international endorsers are welcome.

Click here for the sample letter and online form (with PDF version) or contact the office for print copies. If you have organizational ideas but would like NWTRCC to send the letter, please get the group name and contact information to the office. Thanks!
